What the What is a Trunk Show??

It’s Trunk Show Season here at the Closet!  We’re hosting one every few weeks, and we’ve realized that lots of you ladies don’t really know what one entails.  So just what exactly IS a Trunk Show??

Basically, a Trunk Show just means we get lots of a designer’s gowns for a weekend, and we are able to give a discount for those orders placed during the show.

Here’s an example:

The Temperley Trunk Show is coming up at the end of October (25-27).  In the store on a normal day, we have about 10 gowns by Temperley.  During the trunk show weekend, the designer sends us lots and lots of gowns, sometimes the entire current collection.  If you go ga-ga over one of the Temperley gowns, we give you 10% off if you place your order that weekend.  Woot woot!  Also, if there’s a Temperley gown that you’ve been dying to try and we don’t have it in-store, let us know and we can request that it be sent with the trunks.  Just make sure you give us enough time to make arrangements!

On some super duper special weekends, the designer or a designer rep may make an appearance at the Closet.  How supercalifradulisticexpialidocious to meet the designer of your gown!  It’s also a great treat to have someone special there to make style recommendations, talk to you about possible changes and modifications, and educate all of us about the line.

In a nutshell, we love a trunk show.  Come see what all the fun is about this season!
